Example: the hot water tank has sprung a leak.  It now needs to be replaced. He will give you options to change out the hot water tank. First just changing the tank with the same thing.  Then maybe an option of upgrading to something better or bigger.  Lastly, maybe a tankless option might be best for the current customers family dynamic. It's always nice to have options. He knows nothing more frustrating than a kitchen sink that doesn't drain after a dinner party or if the hot water isn't working correctly when everyone needs to shower at the same time.
